Wet Blast Cleaning & Ultrasonic Clean
What is Wet Abrasive Blasting?
Wet blasting is the use of an abrasive media and compressed air to achieve a desired finish on a chosen surface. Unlike dry blasting, wet blasting uses a third element, liquid, to enhance the levels of surface finish that can be achieved. The benefit of including water is a much smoother and leaves a more consistent finish.
Typical Applications
Due to the nature of the apparatus, we can use this on a wide range of engine parts to clean them for either; aesthetics / visual benefits, fault finding of a component (i.e. looking for visual and wear issues after cleaning), preparation prior to resurfacing (i.e. painting) and for vehicle performance.
Components that have been done (not limited to)
- Gear boxes
- Wheels / rims
- Pump housings
- Engine Blocks
- Engine Heads
- Engine Covers
- Carburetors (stripped)
- Radiators
- Other aluminum & steel components
As water is used as part of the process, metal components must be surface treated quickly to prevent any rust forming. Other restrictions to the service include weight (maximum 50kg) and size (maximum 70cm x 70cm).
